FM systems allow you to focus on distant speech whilst greatly reducing background noise. They consist of a receiver that attaches to the hearing aid and a transmitter placed close the person speaking. The transmitter picks up speech, and this is transmitted wirelessly to the receiver on the hearing aid. The hearing aid user will hear speech as clearly and distinctly as if they were standing right next to the person speaking.

At work, you can avoid misunderstandings during meetings by placing the transmitter close to the speaker

At home, a transmitter can be attached to the TV and the rest of the family can enjoy TV at normal volumes.

In your leisure time, if you play sport or participate in other activities that require you to hear from a distance, you can give the transmitter to the coach or instructor and their comments or instructions are sent directly to your hearing aids—bringing you closer to what you want to hear.
